If you're searching for dance classes in LA, the honest answer is that your options are not all equal. There are hundreds of studios across the city, but very few are built around a structured approach to teaching.

The challenge in LA isn't finding a class. It's finding one that's taught well, is structured properly, and run by people who genuinely know what they're doing.
Here's what actually matters when choosing where to train:
This is the most important factor by far. A great instructor doesn't just demonstrate moves. They watch how you move, identify what's holding you back, and adjust their teaching to how you learn.
Many studios in LA run enjoyable classes without giving students any real sense of progression. You can attend week after week and still feel like you're not getting better. That happens when there's no structure behind the teaching.
But that’s not the case at our studio. Every class at PRO DANCE Studios is built around demonstration, guided practice, and immediate feedback. Students know what they're working on, why it matters, and what comes next. That's how consistent progress happens, whether you're a complete beginner or someone returning to it after years away.
This is something people tend to underestimate until they experience the difference firsthand. The environment of a studio has a direct impact on how quickly you’ll improve.
If the space feels intimidating, overly critical, or disorganized, it may slow everything down. What may happen is that you may become more focused on not making mistakes than actually learning.
But when the environment is supportive and professional, you’ll be relaxed. More open to feedback, more willing to try things, and that’s when real progress starts to happen.
Dancing is not something you’ll learn in a single class. It’s built over time through repetition and consistency.
The studios that get the best results are the ones that create a clear path forward and encourage students to stay consistent. Not by pushing, but by making the experience engaging enough that you actually want to come back.
When that consistency is in place, improvement becomes inevitable.
Most adults who come to us have wanted to try dancing for years but never found the right moment to start. Some are looking for a new hobby. Some want to feel more comfortable at social events. Whatever the reason, our adult dance classes in Culver City are designed to meet you where you are, at a pace that feels right.
Dancing together does something that most shared activities don't. It puts both partners in the same moment, responding to each other, building something together in real time. Our couples dance classes in Playa Del Rey are one of our most popular offerings for exactly that reason.
We work with couples at every stage: total beginners who have never danced before, couples preparing for their big moment, and pairs who want to develop a real shared skill. Every class focuses on connection, communication, and technique in equal measure. If you're not sure which style to start with, check out our guide on the best dance for couples to learn.
If you have a wedding coming up, starting early makes a real difference. Most couples come to us looking to feel confident and ready, not just make it through. With the right direction, that's completely achievable even for people with zero experience.
We recommend starting at least 2 to 3 months before the wedding. That gives you enough time to learn the steps, build confidence, and enjoy the process. Our wedding package includes custom choreography and a consultation.
Our Kids & Teens program is designed for children ages 4 to 16. We have a fun and supportive environment where young people can build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement.
Kids group classes are $25 per drop-in. They cover Ballroom and Latin styles and are taught by instructors who specialise in working with younger students. Classes are fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.
Kids' private lessons are $100 per session. These are ideal for children who want to progress faster or explore performance opportunities. Each lesson offers one-on-one attention and a personalised program to help every child reach their full potential.

No partner is needed to get started. Many students come solo and are paired with others or with an instructor during class. We also have couples dance classes in Playa Del Rey that are designed for pairs who want to learn together.
The studio was founded by Iaroslav and Liliia Bieliei, 2021 US National Professional Standard Champions. They have over 25 years of combined experience and a track record of teaching US and World Pro/Am Champions. We also hold a 5.0 average rating on Google which confirms our professionalism!
Yes. We offer Ballroom and Latin dancing classes for kids and teens at both locations. Kids' group classes drop in at $25, and private lessons are $100 per session.
What most people don't realize before their first class is how much dancing carries over into everyday life. Students who train with us regularly tell us they feel more confident in social situations, more present with the people around them, and more comfortable in their own bodies.
We also run live studio showcases throughout the year, which give students something real to work toward. Whether you're three months in or three years in, performing in front of an audience changes the way you carry yourself. It's one of the things that separates training at a studio with a real community from just taking a weekly class.
Beyond the studio floor, PRO DANCE Studios - Los Angeles is part of something bigger. Iaroslav and Liliia are also the Executive Producers of KOLO, an immersive dance that expresses the cultural heritage of modern Ukraine through movement.
